Established in 1978 as a music school and music shop, JK Music School was based in East Street Derby. We have now moved to:- 101A Sitwell Street, SPONDON. We now concentrate entirely on Music Tuition. JK MUSIC SCHOOL IS SITUATED ON THE FIRST FLOOR ABOVE SHOESTOP FOOTWEAR SHOP.
Our aim is to enable you to play the music you want to play as soon as possible. Our teachers may ask “who is your favourite musician” or “what is your favourite band.” The idea is to make music fun. Yes you have to do the basics first, but you want to enjoy the music you are practising and achieve the desired end result.
Although our teachers are long established, and have a combined teaching experience of over a 95 years, they are all CRB checked at the enhanced level.
The Music School is now under new management, but the warm welcome will be the same as it was on the 1st of July 1978 when we opened our doors to our first new pupils.
